A quilted vest made from 100% cotton corduroy, printed by hand using traditional wooden blocks and natural dyes.

The fabric is printed in Rajasthan by master block printers. Each wooden block carries one part of the overall design, with every colour applied in a separate pass. The blocks are aligned entirely by eye and hand, so building up the finished pattern requires considerable skill and precision.

Natural dyes are used for their depth and warmth, allowing the colour to settle into the fibres rather than simply sitting on the surface. Small irregularities and subtle variations in tone are part of the process, and the colour may soften gradually with wear and time.
