This jean retains all the hallmarks of a traditional five-pocket Western but is reimagined with a very loose, wide-leg fit that gives it a distinct HANSEN character. The outer seam twists subtly toward the back, creating an organic leg shape and adding an unexpected detail. Contrast top-stitching follows a distinctive non-parallel design on the back pockets, while minimal studs and rivets keep the look understated. Traditional hidden rivets reinforce the back pockets, and a stud button fly completes the construction.

The fabric is a unique ‘neppy’ denim woven in Okayama, the birthplace of Japanese denim. Characterised by its white flecks, or ‘neps,’ this 13oz denim carries a naturally worn-in, vintage appearance. Tough and durable yet comfortable to wear, the jeans have been softened with a single wash.
